SWF's Krystal Azelton participated in the "Goldilocks Regulations for Space" New York Space Business Roundtable session

On June 21, Secure World Foundation Director of Space Applications Programs, Krystal Azelton, participated in the New York Space Business Roundtable session titled "Goldilocks Regulations for Space (Or, “Nobody Told Me It Was Gonna be a Bear!)." This session explored the relationship between regulation and innovation and what levels of regulation can be most helpful for growing the commercial space sector in a responsible way. Along with Abhishek Malhotra, Managing Partner at TMT Law and Rob Scheige, Senior Vice President at Willis Towers Watson, Ms. Azelton presented on how countries are approaching meeting their national space security goals and meeting responsibilities to ensure a sustainable space environment while also promoting the growth of the commercial space sector in their borders. Ms. Azelton drew on recent conversations at the Summit for Space Sustainability which also looked at this question.
