2022 Annual Report
The 2022 Annual Report showcases SWF’s wide-ranging efforts to advance the secure, sustainable, and peaceful use of outer space. This year saw SWF support key UN dialogues on space threats, publish the fifth edition of its open-source Global Counterspace Capabilities report, and host the 4th Summit for Space Sustainability in London with the UK Space Agency.
SWF also led global engagements on orbital carrying capacity, helped finalize ISO standards for satellite servicing through CONFERS, and launched new initiatives like the COPUOS Briefing Book and the Space Sustainability Research Fellowship. With over 140 activities across 15 countries, the report underscores the Foundation’s leadership in building international cooperation and supporting the next generation of space policy professionals.
